Many times, you can look at a body of water and get some idea of how good a place it is to fish just by noting the wildlife. The next time fishing gets slow, look around the shoreline and try to spot squirrels moving in the trees, or listen for birds singing. Chances are you won’t see or hear much of anything. What’s happening above the water with wildlife can be a real clue to what’s happening below.
